[Re]naissance
Thank you for buying a bottle and for becoming an ambassador of our Abbey’s cause !
Within the Pouilly-Fumé AOC, in the heart of the Loire Valley, lies roughly 1,200 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc, directly across the river from the famed Sancerre appellation. From 17 of those hectares, the women of the Landrat-Guyollot family have been producing exceptional Sauvignon Blanc for generations.
[Re]naissance Pouilly Fumé from Landrat-Guyollot is one of the most elegant expressions of the Sauvignon Blanc grape thanks to the different terroirs of the Domaine. Currently working on organic certification, the winery produces a crisp, clean, unoaked wine, with moderate alcohol levels (13.5%).
Furthermore, Domaine Landrat-Guyollot is deeply committed to its historic territory, which includes an Augustinian monastery founded in the 6th century. While much of the Saint-Laurent Abbey is in ruins, one part is completely intact: the iconic Romanesque portal, which is currently on display at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Extensive funds are needed to restore the original Abbey in France, and the launch of this [Re]naissance cuvée will contribute to preserving this precious cultural heritage and to deepening the Franco-American friendship.

Our family owned-and-operated boutique wine-estate have their heart set on making their contribution to the restoring of the church abbey, all the more as part of the family originates from St Laurent l’Abbaye. We therefore designed a customized packaging for our [Re]naissance Pouilly-Fumé, as to make it an ambassador of the project in the USA.
Priced at 8,95 EUR (ex-cellar selling price to importer), of which 1 EUR per bottle will be dedicated to the restauration of the Saint-Laurent Abbey, the [Re]naissance cuvée offers consumers a chance to participate in restoring a piece of France’s heritage, while enjoying a classic example of quality winemaking. For each bottle of Pouilly Fumé [Re]naissance sold in the USA, Domaine Landrat-Guyollot will donate 1,00 € to ‘Sauvegarde de l’Art Français’ for the restoration of the bell tower of St Laurent’s Abbey.
Working together to preserve French-American heritage and making this dream of the rebirth of St Laurent’s Abbey come true is meaningful to more than a way.
St Laurent’s community (inhabitants) is rallied to the cause of the restoration of their abbey : as an example here is a video filmed during a Medieval Market which took place to the benefit of the abbey.
