La Rambarde

AOC Pouilly Fumé

A story to savour

The Rambarde refers to the flat-bottomed boat used in the past to transport Pouilly wines on the Loire River, through the Briare Canal and then on the Seine River to be served at the royal and aristocratic tables of Paris. Bearing witness to a prosperous period in the history of our vineyard, La Rambarde is synonymous with the French Art of Living!

Vintage 2023

“Fresh, Fruity and Elegant”

Grapes harvested at perfect maturity on September 15. 100% Sauvignon blanc.

Color:  Beautiful straw yellow with green highlights

Nose: Expressive and elegant aromas of citrus (lemon, pomelo) mixed with white fruits, notes of exotic fruits

Taste: the acidity is lively, a charming presence on the palate; a balanced wine, very pleasant to drink.

Wine Making

Gentle pressing, static settling, alcoholic fermentation at low temperature to enhance this aromatic grape variety sought after for its fruity and mineral tension. No malolactic fermentation. 5 months of aging on lees.

Tasting Moments

On the terrace, by the glass, discover and savor its fresh and fruity aromas.

After work, with colleagues, around a plate of makis and sushi. It inspires sommeliers around the world with endless possibilities for wine pairings.

A ‘must have’ for large festive tables (weddings, birthdays), an excellent value.

Food Pairings

It’s a wine for the whole meal: with a starter of asparagus, smoked salmon, or shrimp salad with grapefruit. Followed by grilled trout, sole meunière or alfredo pasta and an assortment of goat cheeses. To finish, a passion fruit panna cotta.
